Summer James is retired from Law Enforcement and now spends her time blogging and writing. She started blogging to document her journey as the mom of an addicted child.  Summer has a great love of animals and is an avid runner.  When she is not putting words to paper, or cyberspace, you will find her looking for that next trail to hike, volunteering at the local animal rescue or creating new recipes for her family.  Summer lives outside of Chicago with her husband and two pampered dogs.
